Adding a basement bathroom
There are many homes built since the 1980’s that have plumbing rough-ins present in the basement concrete slabs. Many home builders installed these pipes to accommodate future bathroom installations. For new homes, adding a finished basement was a major option that home builders sought to sell to potential buyers. For simplicity, they usually installed these lines during the foundation state of construction because doing so later would be a major ordeal. If you home has these lines present, it becomes very easy to add a 3rd or 4th bathroom to your home. Unlike a typical remodel, these are completely new construction. From practical to ornate, there are major design options available for these situations.
