Removing corner jetted tub, installing freestanding tub
Many homes in the late 80’s through the early 2000’s featured a corner jetted tub in the master bathroom. Most of the time it shares the corner with windows as well. People overwhelmingly report not using these corner tubs because many times they can be awkward to get in and out of AND because they tend to use a lot of hot water… which challenges undersized water heaters and takes TIME to fill. Due to the presence of windows in this situation, it is difficult to convert the space to a shower however it is a great space to drop in a free-standing soaking tub. Soaking tubs are very popular now and if someone has an old, underused corner tub a soaking tub makes sense to install while renovating.
